Textbooks are a big expense in the beginning of the semester. Sure you can sell your books back to us at the end, but some people just want to rent textbooks & save now. When you rent textbooks, you save cash now rather than get it back later.
All schools and classes are different. Only need this book for the first part of a semester or trimester? Textbook rental lets you select how long you want to keep the book so you don't have to buy it outright if you only need it for a short amount of time. Need it longer? No problem, we can do that too.
Sometimes you want to keep your textbooks for future use, sometimes you don't... and sometimes you just don't know. When you rent textbooks, you are able to save upfront on books you just know you aren't going to keep.
