The Kansas Supreme Court ruled that exotic dancers at a strip club have the right to collect unemployment insurance as employees and not independent contractors.

The Kansas Supreme Court just passed a new law that says strippers can claim unemployment as employees and not just independent contractors.
Seems odd that they should need unemployment. Can't they just depend on the money they've been saving for law and/or medical school?
The implication here is that if you are going to be a stripper for whatever reason, you can only be a stripper. Strippers are not allowed to be anything else — now or ever given how many people lose their jobs when adult history pasts come back to haunt them. But there is more here: the suggestion that sharing one’s personal narrative is a call for attention is something leveled against women all the time

In essence, strippers are employees. So it stands to reason that they should be allowed to have the same kind of benefits as other employees,  What are your thoughts?

The former employee, Carolyn Hommel, filed a lawsuit on Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, When Oprah Winfrey started her own television network, there were a lot of positive aspects about it. However, there were also dangers for the talk show queen.Oprah Winfrey does not look out for her OWN. At least not according to a new lawsuit accusing her and the network of sexual discrimination.

Super Bowl 2013

Super Bowl XLVII, the 47th edition of the Super Bowl and the 43rd modern era National Football League championship game, is scheduled to be played in 2013 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The game will be held on February 3, 2013. Therefore, the 2013 Mardi Gras calendar in Orleans Parish will be changed. Parades scheduled for February 3 and before will likely move ahead one week. The same occurred in 2002 when the September 11 attacks caused a one-week delay in the 2001 NFL season, resulting in Super Bowl XXXVI falling within the Mardi Gras parade calendar.
This will be the tenth time that the city has hosted the Super Bowl, by far the most by an individual city and once again tying with the Miami area for the most Super Bowls hosted by a metropolitan area (they have been tied in the past). It will be the first Super Bowl to be held in New Orleans since the Superdome sustained damage from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. New Orleans beat out Glendale, Arizona and Miami (South Florida) for the right to host the game at the NFL's Spring Ownership Meetings in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on May 19, 2009. It will be simulcast in Canada by CTV.

But if the recipient has a lot of followers, Facebook will charge you $100.

Facebook says they're just testing the service to see if they can get away with it.

No, the recipient doesn't get a penny. The recipient gets the spam and Facebook gets the money.

For the super-rich it would combine the delights of Monaco with untrammelled access to the ports of the world - as well as bragging rights as to owning the world's most expensive personal yacht.
British designers have produced plans for a floating replica of the principality named Streets Of Monaco which features scaled-down versions of its famous landmarks including the Monte Carlo racetrack.
The 500ft-long boat - expected to cost up to £700million - also boasts miniatures of the famed Monte Carlo Casino, Hotel de Paris, Cafe de Paris, La Rascasse, the Loews Hotel as well as swimming pools and tennis courts.
